Newsletter → Loreto Leader September 2014
Welcome back to the new season which promises to be a really great year! It’s great to see so many familiar faces back at training and also some new faces whom I hope enjoy their time at Loreto – you’re very welcome to the club!
Good luck to all our coaches and management over the coming season. It’s great to have such calibre of coaches right throughout the Club. We have quite a few new additions to our coaching staff this year. Welcome to Niall Denham, Paul Fitzpatrick, Clodagh Grealy, Niamh Small, Wendy Byrne, and Ali Meeke. And welcome back to Stu Malcolm and Nicky King.
Our Junior Section is thriving again this season. Many thanks to Wendy Byrne and Emma Flynn for their trojan work in ensuring that our Junior Section ran smoothly last year. Thank you both for all your hard work. Welcome to our new Juniors Coordinator Bronnie who has taken over the reins and has assembled a great team: Grainne Cregan, Lisa Tully, Sinead O’Hara (Kane).
We have a super Club Captain this year in Eimear Grealy. Eimear is working hard behind the scenes to get the season off to a great start. Orla Smith, our social secretary, organised a very successful bbq last weekend – the burgers were very well received by all. Orla has great plans for our social outings this year, starting with the club opening night on Saturday October 11th in the Glenside. It promises to be a great night so make sure to put the date in your diary. I am looking forward to seeing you all there this year.
Best of luck to 3rds-6ths on their first league matches this weekend, and to 1sts and 2nds on their second league match.
