Loreto Ladies 1st XI

Our Ladies 1sts compete in the EY Women's Irish Hockey League, the premier league competition in Ireland.

In addition the team will be competing in the Jacqui Potter Leinster Cup and the Irish Senior Cup.

Loreto 1st's competed in the Euro Hockey Clubs competition challenge in Prague in 2022 where we finished joint first.

The next year the Loreto team then went on to win the EYHL Champions Trophy in 2023 after narrowly missing out on the league title. This meant we would travel to Amsterdam in 2024 to play in the EHL - European championships. The Loreto First also won the Jacqui Potter cup in 2023.

In 2024 the Loreto First team went completely unbeaten in the league, thus winning the league for the first time since 2009! What a season. We narrowly missed out in the champions trophy with a 1-0 loss in the final.
Winning the league means that this Easter 2025 we travel to Prague again to play in the EuroHockey Club Trophy.
