Loreto Leader – November 2012

We are now well into the season and I am absolutely delighted with all our teams performances. It is great to see everyone working so hard at training and transferring that onto the pitch. Although there have been a few results that haven’t gone our way there is a large part of the season left to be played and I have no doubt that we will be celebrating achievements at the end of the season.

Our junior section is thriving and the feedback to date has been superb well done to Wendy and her team of coaches and volunteers. There are so many exciting things on the horizon namely the Christmas Party on the 8th December in the Glenside. From all accounts it promises to be a great night and it’s you the members that will make it that, so I would really encourage all that can make it to come along.

Our new Clubhouse will be open very shortly…. who would ever have thought two years ago that we at Loreto Hockey Club would have completed such an amazing feat….. not me anyway!!

We hope to have the official grand opening in January details of which will follow soon. I am keeping this piece short and sweet as I will be addressing you all at the Christmas Party… no need to worry it will be short too!

Finally I want to say a huge thank you to all our club members, associates and committee members for all their patience and unending support and assistance in the absence of a permanent Clubhouse for the last number of months. Also huge thanks to Margaret O’Donohue principal of Loreto Beaufort who so kindly gave us the use of the school sports hall over the last few months. I really look forward to catching up with you all on the 8th December.

Best wishes,

Sue Elliot
