Hi all,
It’s hard to believe it’s nearly the end of the season! It’s been a great season so far for both our Junior and Senior club. 3 teams are through to Cup semis, with the other 8 through to playoff stages – a great success! Our senior teams have shown great skill, team spirit and dedication from 1st XI down to 6th XI; see match reports below for the details. We wish all teams the best in their final league matches.
Our club dinner takes place on May 6th so make sure to put the date in your diary. We’ll be celebrating our 90th anniversary at the club dinner so I hope to see faces old and new there.
In other news, the Club recently completed a substantial piece of work in submitting an application for a Government Sports Capital Grant to help fund our replacement pitch. We hope to know over the summer if we’ve been successful. We’ll soon be launching an updated website and a new online registration system for next season so keep an eye out for that.
And, due to the phenomenal success of our clothes recycling collection in January, we’ll be holding another one at the end of the season. More information will follow by email.
I’d like to take the opportunity to thank our junior and senior executive committees and to all of you who have been so generous in volunteering your time throughout the season – the club can only run as successfully as it does because of everyone’s willingness to help! Hope you enjoy the remainder of the season, and best of luck again to all teams in their final matches.
