News → Loreto Christmas Project – House Makeover
As you may be aware, Loreto Hockey Club usually does something of a charitable nature every Christmas. Over the past few years we supported things like the Shoebox appeal and the Ryan Tubridy Toys for Children at Christmas appeal. .
This year we are going to do something a bit different, it’s quite unique and it’s pretty challenging. We have taken on a special project, proposed by the St Vincent de Paul and StewartsCare which involves a one-day blitz clean-up of a house in Jobstown for a family whose living conditions in the house are truly awful.
The plan is that, in the space of one day, SUNDAY 15th DECEMBER we will complete a major clean up and repair “Makeover” that will seriously improve the living conditions of one family. Myself, Gemma and Dee visited the house recently and let’s just say our project will make a tremendous difference to them.
So, we are now calling on all Club Members, their families and friends of the Hockey Club to volunteer to give just two hours of their time sometime between 8am and 6pm on Sunday 15 December to complete this major challenge. Dee Mooney will be co-ordinating the overall project and she will have 6 different teams operating throughout the day. The Teams and their Leaders are as follows:
Skip Team: Team Leader – Peter Vincent – 087 3655 596 / suevincent5@hotmail.com

We are asking all Club Members you to contact one of these Team Leaders over the next few days to volunteer your time so that a schedule of work and workers can be planned for the day.
