What a moment for Irish hockey! 🇮🇪🏑
Huge congratulations to the Irish Women’s Hockey Team on an incredible World Cup qualifying campaign. After a thrilling series and a nerve-shredding shootout, the team has officially booked their place at the World Cup this August in Amsterdam and Belgium — a fantastic achievement and a testament to the resilience, skill, and determination shown throughout the tournament.
A special shoutout to our four current representatives who played a massive role across the qualifiers. Your performances, composure under pressure, and relentless work ethic made us incredibly proud.
And an extra special mention to Lizzie Murphy, whose outstanding display of goalkeeping in the qualifying match against Japan earned her the Player of the Match award. Her calmness in the shootout and a series of cool, collected saves proved decisive and showcased goalkeeping of the very highest standard.
We’re incredibly proud of you all and can’t wait to see you take on the world stage this summer. The journey continues — bring on the World Cup! 🇮🇪
🏑 St. Patrick’s Day Final – Match Time Released! 🇮🇪
Our Junior A1 girls will kick off the day on the Front Pitch at Three Rock Rovers at 10:30am as they take on Muckross in the Junior Jacqui Potter Cup Final.
It’s a huge occasion to be playing on St. Patrick’s Day, and the team would really appreciate all the support they can get. If you’re free, make your way down and cheer the girls on! 💚
