Hi Everyone,
The end of the season came around quickly this year but I’m glad to say we still have a few more events to look forward to! Firstly hard luck to the 4ths in their cup final against Genesis. Loreto provided tough competition for Genesis coming out with 1-1 draw at full time and unfortunately lost on penalty strokes. Anyone who was at the match knows how well the 4ths battled to the end and put in a huge team effort. You should all be so proud of yourselves.
Still to come is the 1sts IHL semi-finals weekend on 11th April. That promises to be a weekend of superb hockey and I hope to see Loreto players and friends up supporting!
Congrats and well done to the Loreto 1st XI players playing on the Ireland squad in UCD at the World League Round 2 at the end of March, who won the league, putting Ireland one step closer to qualifying to Rio! Congratulations also to Hayley Mulcahy who received the call-up to the Irish squad for a series of matches against Italy this month. Well-deserved Hayley!
